2017 Brings OC/OVAG Workshop To New Level
The 2017 OC/OVAG Veterinary Workshop was the largest event yet. As we move toward our 10th Workshop in 2018, the attendance and enthusiasm at the 9th event – in July 2017 – reminded us all for the need to continue this important annual gathering of orangutan vets and rescue center managers. These photos might give you an idea of what it was like to be there for the multi-day event.

2014 OC/OVAG Workshop held at our new permanent home
In recent years the OC/OVAG Veterinary Workshop has moved from location to location – between Indonesia and Malaysia. As of this year, we are pleased to now have a full-time home in Jogjakarta, Indonesia at the University of Gadjah Mada. Our new home provides ample space and numerous facilities for the ever-expanding workshop as more and more wildlife healthcare workers from across Indonesia want to attend these valuable in-country workshops.
2013 was the largest OC/OVAG Workshop to date.
As these photos show, there was a whirlwind of activity for the multi-day event in Bogor. The workshop drew so much attention this year that we may soon have apermanent home for future workshops! Enjoy the photos and please rememebr to contribute if you can to future workshops. It’s the one time a year these wildlfie vets can join together to share their knowledge about orangutans.
Previous workshops
2011 saw over 40 wildlife veterinarians and healthcare workers come together for our annual OC/OVAG Veterinary Workshop on Java. Here is a pictorial.
